SULEIMAN BABA ALI
The Managing Director Team Nigeria Trust Fund,
Sulieman Baba Ali, who turned 44 November 19 2006, is an
accomplished marketer. He is presently marketing the
American Football billed for Nigeria in December with
about 5,000 contingents of players, officials,
cheerleaders, businessmen and tourists. He spoke to
Juliana Taiwo on what Nigeria stands to gain.
Sulieman Baba Ali went to Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, graduated with B.Sc Business Administration and went to University of Lagos, graduated with M. Sc Business Administration specializing in marketing. He started his career in Avis Petroleum in 1984 and thereafter joined Capital Oil Plc and rose to become Executive Director Marketing before leaving in 1994.
In 1995 he started a company known as Equatorial Petrochemical Services Ltd, which is also involved in providing services to companies in the downstream sector of the oil industry as well as oil lubricants and all of those.
He got involved briefly in politics in 1998 and by 1999 he was appointed Commissioner for Health in Kogi State, a position he held until May 29 2003. He went back to his oil marketing business combined with advertising until May 2006 when he was appointed to head the Team Nigeria Trust Fund.
JUMMAI NDALUGI-SHESHI
Ms Ndalugi-Sheshi is the pioneer Manager of Team Nigeria, Lagos Office, responsible for business development, fund-raising and general superintendent over the Company’s affairs within the region. She has over seventeen (17) years of post-qualification experience, cutting across banking, finance, administration and general management.
Before joining Team Nigeria, Ms Ndalugi-Sheshi had worked in various capacities with the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG), the United Bank for Africa (UBA), as well as a number of Councils in the United Kingdom.
Ms Ndalugi-Sheshi is a 1985 graduate of Business Administration from St. Mary’s Dominican College, USA. She also has a Master’s degree in Public Administration, obtained from the Southern University, USA in 1988. In addition, she holds various other professional certifications, including an Advanced Practice Certificate in Housing and Welfare Management from the Trans-Atlantic College, London and European Computer’s Driving License (ECDL).
